Easter

Easter was fun this year. We colored our eggs quickly this year since we were in Vegas most of the weekend. I did dig the red roots for everyone this year and even mailed a few to Jan'l in Colorado. I gained a new appreciation for the "red root digger." It was more work than I thought!

The egg bust got rained out before Church this year. (It seems to be raining A LOT lately!) So we did it after. It is always fun. Addie ate most of her eggs before we even made it home. I found out she loves boiled eggs! :)

Katie had an Easter party later at Bob and Bradi's. A treasure hunt, relay, water fight, pinata and treats finished off our Easter. It was a great day.

Spring in the Desert

The Sliderzz played in the Spring in the Desert Tournament in Las Vegas over Easter weekend. They didn't have a very good tourney in fact they lost all four games. The competition was fierce and they just couldn't come away with a W. Although, we didn't let that stop us from having a fun weekend. The kids swam until they looked like raisins and I got to go shopping with Natalie and Nicole for my birthday. Gavin also took me to Cheesecake Factory! The Stuarts and the Mortensen's came too, 6 adults and 13 kids at Cheesecake = Party!! :)

Check out the dress Addie has on in the picture to the right, Natalie made that for her for my birthday. Isn't it cute?! A baseball knot dress, it's adorable! The picture on the left is after the first two losses, at Big League Dreams. I was so glad that when I got to the car they were smiling even after defeat! I guess sometimes all you can do is laugh, and that is what we did!

Addie's Three!

Addie is three and life is great! She is at a fun stage in life. She is becoming more and more independent each day. She is starting to get dressed by herself, shower by herself, and buckle herself in her car seat. It is sometimes hard to let her do these things, because it takes longer than I have patients for, but I am trying to let her grow up just a little.

Addie is ALL girl! She loves to have her nails painted, wear pink, dance, sing and "mother" everyone. This world would be a dull place without this spunky/sweet little spirit.

For her birthday we had a picnic at the park complete with butterfly PB&J's, chips and grapes. Her cake was Rapunzel and she loved it. The girls played at the park and made a bracelet. It was low key and just great.

Later that night we had the family over for dinner/cake.

It was a fun night celebrating Addie. She is one of a kind! We love her to pieces!

Disneyland

Disneyland, "The Happiest Place on Earth" or so they say! ;) Gavin would tell you he is not going back for a very very long time. I on the other hand loved it. The crowds were huge and the lines were long, but the Churros were divine and the company was great.  We all got to do something we loved, for Landon it was Screamin' or Tower of Terror, for Preston it was the Toy Story Ride, for Addie it was her visit with Minnie, and for Carlee it was two days full of stroller time. She just loves that stroller time! ;) As for Gavin he loved it when he made it back to the hotel in one piece, and for me it was just watching my kids faces as they experienced all things Disney.

Gavin and I were talking and decided Disney is all about the details. Isn't that why you want go back again and again? This time we noticed Minnie's house, it was amazing. The fridge was cold, the dishwasher blew bubbles, the oven baked a cake... Addie was ready to move right on in! It was the first time we had gone in her little home, since previous visits were just with the boys.  And that is why we will go back (Maybe not in the really near future, but we will!) because I always wonder what we will discover next.

Thanks Grandpa Dennis for the Memories!
