Cousin Fun

Candice came to town, so we went to Town Square to play. The kids always have a great time at Town Square. It was nice to visit with Candice, Mel and Mom, they are always good company. 

We had to take one group shot, all the kids are getting so big! 

After looking through all my takes of this one shot in iPhoto, I realized why my computer memory is depleting! To get four kids six and under to look forward at the same time, takes nothing short of a miracle! 

Then there is this girl, who asked me to take this picture and posed all by herself.

 Do you think I have taken to many pictures of her over the course of the last two years?

  Know what? Don't answer that, I don't think I want to know! 

"Two" Much Fun!

Addie started Dance! She had "Two much fun," just like the name of the class. The little girls were so cute, and the costumes they dress up in are darling. I love having a little mini dancer.

I am so glad Sadie is in her class, I can tell they are going to have a great time together. When it was time to go we were walking to the car and Addie asked  "Can I go again?" with a big smile on her face. It was the cutest thing, I am so glad she had fun. Girls are great! 

School Days

{August 11, 2010}

A new year is here! I love the fresh start and schedule. It seems all of us do a lot better with more on our agenda than cartoons and lunch! With both boys in school all day, Addie is having a hard time adjusting. The first day all she said was "Lets pick the boys up," or "Time to pick up the boys?" or "Pick up the boys." She loves her brothers so much.

{2nd Grade}

Landon was excited to start 2nd Grade. His teacher is Mrs. Thomas, she is new to the school, and seems super nice. When he got to class and saw his number was 9, it made his day.  I think he is going to have a great year! 

{1st Grade}

Preston was a little nervous to go to school all day.  I have to admit I was a little nervous myself.  Mrs. Woodbury is his teacher, I am so grateful she is with him, I know she will take good care of my little boy and he will learn a lot this year. I still had a hard time leaving him, and thought about him all day. When he jumped in the car after school and told me "It was the BEST day ever!" I knew he was going to have a super year. Yea! 

Here is to a great year, with lots of learning and fun! 

When it Rains it POURS...

This is what you call the Ultimate Summer Storm. We were all home resting from being in Cedar at ball games all day and next thing we knew hail was pounding on our windows. I couldn't believe it was hailing on July 30th, and then there was wind... wow the wind was crazy! The tree in our front yard was bent over touching its leaves on the side walk. We all stood in the front window waiting for it to snap, luckily it didn't. It was just tilted when all was said and done.

Preston put on his batting helmet so the hail wouldn't hurt. I thought that was a pretty smart idea.  I couldn't get over how it just kept raining and raining hard for at least 20 or 30 minutes. Our yard was one big puddle. The neighbor had water about to run into their front door, so Gavin helped them pump the water out. The whole neighborhood stood out in it, it was nice to feel the rain on your face. 

Then it turned to mud... and what do little boys do with mud? You guessed it, throw it, rub it all over, and slide in it.  I am not sure what possess someone to rub mud all over themselves. But, that is what little boys do. I have quit trying to figure it out, I have just embraced it. Because basically that is all I CAN do. 

Last 8U Baseball Tournament.

Rocky Mountain Baseball had their last tournament for the season in Cedar on July 30 and 31st. Since it was so close we went. I can't believe these boys have been playing now for a whole year. They all have learned so much and become great baseball players. I love the above picture. It is reminds me of this one Bradi took back when Landon just started Tee ball...

Where did those years go? Crazy! 

Ok, back to the Tournament, The boys played good and made it to the Championship game except this happened...

Rain, rain and a little more Rain came right before we were to play, so they canceled the game and went off of records, we ended up with the second place trophy. We all were a little disappointed because we wanted to play, but running around in the rain was kind of fun too.  

So, there you have it. The Sliderzz have moved on to 9 and Under, their 8 and Under days are over. It was an awesome year and we look forward to 9U being just as great! Good Job Boys! 

I made this for their end of the year party, Natalie took all the great photo's and I put it together. I thought it turned out really cute and had to share. Cute, cute boys.

Alpine Slides

We stayed at Park City in a condo during the Tournament of Champions. It was fun, we stayed with the Shipp's and it worked great. The condo was right at the Alpine Slides, after the games on Saturday the boys went for a ride. I was kind of bummed that I couldn't go down because I am pregnant. I guess we will just have to go back next year. Preston rode with Gavin, he told me it was a blast, but from the look on his face, I thought he was a little scared. Landon got stuck behind a slow lady and wished he could have gone faster, but had fun anyway.

The TOC Champs!

Over the 24th of July Weekend, the Sliderzz went to Heber and competed in Rocky Mountain Baseball's Tournament of Champions. To be eligible to play you had to have won a Rocky Mountain tournament during the year, lets just say the competition is tough. Every team in the tournament was good, and these Sliderzz boys played their hearts out. They won the Championship game 5-4 beating the North County Crush. It was crazy intense during the whole game (really during the whole weekend), but these little boys played tough and hung on to win.

I love this picture. Gavin puts a lot of time into helping Landon become a better athlete. He is a great Dad, and Coach. 

I am not sure if watching those baseball games was very good for my blood pressure! ;) I felt a lot better after it was all over. Who knew 8 year old baseball could be so intense? I surely didn't! 

Way to go Sliderzz!

Applying Liberally

At the Tournament of Champions Baseball Tournament in July, Addie learned how to read, or at least I think she did. How else would have she known to "Apply liberally to all exposed areas...?"

Isn't she one smart girl?! ;)

Later that same day she also learned how to fill water bottle lids with dirt. 

Who every told me little girls were clean and only played with dolls, lied!

 This little girl is busy, busy, busy!
