Joy

This is what Joy looks like!
We were at Katie and Ken's Christmas party last week and as you can see we all had a ball.

Annual Baking Day

Katie had her annual baking day. It is always a fun tradition. This year I tried to make honey candy... I guess I needed to cook it a few more degrees. It tasted good, but oh was it gooey! Good thing everyone else made good treats so I could take something home! I did have success on my batch of toffee, and it was gone before I remembered to take a picture of it. If you ever want to get in good with Gavin just bring over some toffee and he will love you for life!

Kindergarten Christmas Program

Preston had his Christmas Program at school. What a treat it was to watch him perform the Polar Express! He did his part fabulous and even let his little sister sit by him back in his classroom. He is a great brother.
Ps Does that train car look familiar? Yep I saved it from last year! It took me awhile to make it last year, and in December time isn't something I have a lot of so, I recycled it! It worked perfect. I guess having two boys close did pay off in some ways.

Happy Birthday!

It's Gavin's Birthday today and I wanted to wish him a happy one! He is a great Dad and Husband. I know I don't tell him enough how much I appreciate him, but I do. I can't believe we have been married for 9 1/2 years. Last week we took the kids to the temple and as we were walking around the temple we realized that it was almost 10 years to the day that Gavin proposed to me there. On December 17, 1999 our lives change forever and what a awesome change it has been. I couldn't ask for a better partner to walk through life with. I don't know what I would do without him, he is my rock.

Gavin, I hope you have a great day! Happy Birthday!

Rodeo Time

One of the best parts about the months of December is watching the NFR. We were lucky enough to go with my parents one night and take the boys another. Thanks mom and dad, it was so fun!! The night we took the boys, Cam Terry came along and had a great time. During the Grand Entry Tuff Cooper motioned for Preston to come down to the front and he handed him a pink rope. It was tough enough to wear pink night, that is why they were throwing out ropes. It totally stole the hearts of all the people around us. From then on they were buying us peanuts, taking our picture, and checking on us throughout the rodeo. We let the three boys sit on the front row during the bull riding and they were in heaven. It was a great night. I got to hang out with four dang cute cowboys and it doesn't get much better than that!

Vegas Baby!

On the 5th we took a spur of the moment trip to Vegas with the Terry's! It was a blast. We shopped, ate and shopped some more! The guys got a little tired of the shopping and found a football game to watch while we finished. It was a much needed break for Gavin and I. It was so nice to laugh and visit with Dave and Gretchen without the interruptions we usually have. I stole these picture off Gretchen's blog (Thanks Gretch! Can't wait to go again!)

Finally Caught up!

It took me a couple days to catch up on this blog of mine! The month of November seemed to have been put into overdrive! I am sorry things got a little out of order, but at least it is posted. I know that December will have a lot of pictures. I figured if I don't catch up now, it might become hopeless!

The big reason why my blog took a back seat is because I have had the opportunity to start making digital scrapbook supplies! It has been the best creative outlet that I have had in a very long time. I actually made a few of the frames you are now seeing on my blog, and many more will come! It has been a big learning curve, but I am starting to feel like I can create just about anything. I am selling my elements at dscrappro.com. The site has only been up for about 3 weeks, but the designers are putting new products on daily. The official opening will be in a week or two, but for now everything in the store is on sale. All the sale prices will go after Christmas, so you might want to go check it out!

The Thanksgiving frame and the Polaroid Frame (Last trip to the Park...) I have on here are free, so what are you waiting for? You have nothing to lose... Hurray go check it out!

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we were able to spend the day at Dennis' home with Grandpa and Grandma Frei. It was a real treat to have Grandma make her Chicken Noodle Soup. The noodles are SO good. I am truley grateful for Grandma Frei in my life, she had taught me how to make jam, bottle fruit, make applesauce and I have even "attempted" her noodles. They just didn't taste as good! She calls me all the time to make sure my fridge is stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables from Grandma's garden, and to check on the kids. Sitting with them at the Thanksgiving Dinner table really was an honor.

After dinner Bradi, Aubrey and I scoured the ads to find all the deals, we made a game plan to set out for Target at 2:30 the next morning. When we got to the Target parking lot at 3:00 am! I couldn't believe how many people were already there. Susan, Bradi and I (Aubrey chickened out, but we still love her!) stood outside in the cold waiting for the doors to open at 5:00 am. By the time the store was about to open it was crazy how many people were there. I ended up with everything I had wanted and only had to wait in the checkout line for 1 HOUR and 12 MINUTES. AAAuUGG! I did save $100 dollars so it was worth it. I had a great time, and will be there next year I am sure! It's all about the memories. :)

PS Can you believe I don't have ONE picture of myself on Thanksgiving? I am vowing today to pass the camera at least once during Christmas!

Football Champs!

Last year the ending to our Flag football season didn't work out quite as good as this year! If you would like to read about that click here. I personally like this years story a lot better! Both the Chargers (Preston) and the Patriots (Landon) made it to the Championship game! Which was no easy task, they had to play great teams to even get there. Then it was the morning of the Championship! Everyone was nervous and excited. The Chargers played their best game and took home the trophy! Then the Patriots took the field and played awesome too! I was a very proud Mama that day. It was a fun way to end a great season. Way to go Coach Gav! (I was a really proud Wife too.) Good Times, Good Times!!

I was sent to Time Out.

At the first of November my mom sent me to Time Out! I don't think that has happened since I was a kid, and boy was it nice! We spent the weekend at a conference put together by Deseret Book called Time Out for Women. We listened to great music, exceptional speakers and just enjoyed each others company without the interruptions that come with a 7, 5 and 1 year old. I am grateful I had a chance to renew and think about my many blessings. Thanks mom, I love you.

Addie's First Haircut

I can't believe I forgot to post this... On October 23, 2009 my baby received her first haircut. Does this mean she isn't a "baby" anymore? Please say no, because I don't know if I could handle it if she wasn't.

Last trip to the park...

In the middle of November we made our last trip to the park for the season. We heard the weather was going to get a lot colder in those next few days, so we called our cousins and headed to the park. The weather was cloudy and warm, perfect for capturing their joy! I love my kids so much they bring me just what I wrote above Joy, Delight, Glee and Happiness.

Raining Leaves

Wrestling

We added another sport in our fall line up. Wrestling!! This is a sport Gavin and I knew NOTHING about. The first meet, Gavin walked in and said "I don't think I have ever been to a wrestling match in my life!" Good thing we had a few people like the Frei's, the Terry's and Uncle Garrett to follow around so we didn't look completely confused! The boys did great all season, they learned a few moves, and really liked it. It taught them to never give up, and it made them rely totally on themselves. It was a fun season, they even came home with some 1st place metals! Way to go boys!

FHE Farm Style

The first Monday in November we had the Nowatzki family meet us at the farm. It was a fun night full of feeding cows, chasing chickens, roping, and best of all riding on the tractor. After it got dark we headed to our house for dinner and a lesson. It was a great night, spent with a great family!

Preston's Early Christmas!

On the night of Halloween, Garrett and Aubrey stopped by our house to give Preston a set of his very own lefty golf clubs. I don't know who was more excited, Garrett or Preston?! Both had really big grins on there faces. This all started back in the summer when Garrett and Gavin took the boys golfing one afternoon, and Preston had to use the backwards because he was left handed. Then Garrett found some tiny club at the Country Club and decided to get them for him. (Good thing Garrett picks the range to help his golfing habit! Because he has a really big savings account at the Proshop!) I told Garrett when he said that he was ordering them for Preston that he should wait and give them to him at Christmas, but he said "he couldn't wait that long!" I can't wait for when he has kiddo's of his own and has to keep their presents a secret. It will kill him!) We are really thankful for Uncle Garrett and Aunt Aubs. It was such a nice gift for Preston. Thanks again guys!
