Preston the Pitcher
Last year during Super League Preston got to pitch. It was the cutest thing I had ever seen! He might be little and the ball may have come in slow, but by dang they were strikes! He struck a couple out and did great for his first time. Now if we could just get some meat on those bones to get his strength up! ;)

Preston Baptism
It's been a very very long time since I posted this this blog. My life seems to be in fast forward. It's all I can do to keep up with laundry, dishes, messes, and meals. I am hoping I can make this blog a priority and get caught up. This is one post I didn't want to leave out. Preston's Baptism was an important day in this little man's life. One I don't want to forget.

Piano Recital
{March 5, 2012}
There was so much excitement in our house the day of March 5th the boys could hardly contain themselves, why you ask? Well, it was the Piano Recital of course! Ha! I wish! :) They weren't very excited about it, but they got through it, and I know it will make them better young men as they grow up. Someday they are going to thank me for nagging, and begging and making them practice. Here is to another year of piano, and many more to come!

Preston's Birthday!
This boy gets so excited about his birthday's he can hardly sleep. He had a list of expectations that have to happen on his big day, and we made it all happen! The list began with a running through streamer on his door when he woke up followed by a fun breakfast! Aren't those pancakes cute? Easy and cute, just what I like! Then he got to open his present, the one in the big box.. (had to trick him, even if it was just for a minute.) He was so excited! He wanted to be able to text his brother, and now he can.
We had his friend party earlier in the week with Brooklyn at Anti-Gravity. It was fun to share the party with her and to jump and jump and jump. I forgot my camera at that party, so we will just have to remember it in our hearts. ;) We had the family over for dinner and cake to close out his fun day. I can't believe my buddy is 8! I love him so much! He adds so much life and spunk to our family. Happy Birthday Preston!!
Just a little note I want to remember... While Gavin and I were getting ready for the party the kids were going crazy. So, we told them to take Carlee for a little walk around the block. Next thing we knew it was pouring rain outside and it had been 45 minutes and we couldn't find them. I started calling all the neighbors, by this time all the family was showing up. We sent Dennis out to look for them, then Garrett and Gavin went. Finally I called Stephanie and they were in her tree house. She had no idea! It was crazy the boys took Carlee that far and in the pouring rain! They told me they had her wrapped up and she was really warm in the tree house. Oh my...

Giants Football
Preston has had an awesome season of Flag Football. His little team has finally figured it out and has had a winning season! Preston loves playing defense, he loves pulling flags and...
...intercepting the ball!!
He also does great on offense, here he is just after he scored a touchdown. Think he is proud of himself?! I know I am! :)
Preston is a one of a kind, he is fun loving, easy going and nice to everyone. He is the tender heart of our family and is always watching out for those in need. Lately he always seems to be listening to that little voice inside him telling him if it's right or wrong. In fact, I just got a note from his teacher that said, he has made huge strides in listening and concentrating at school. I know Preston isn't perfect by any means, but he is trying hard to do his chores, keep up on his homework and even practice his piano! As his mom I couldn't be prouder of the football player and little boy he has become! Way to go Pres!

Not Our Finest Moment
Sometimes I get a tired of looking at blog's and seeing all the perfect things that are going on in other people's lives, perfect trips, perfect parties, perfect Halloween costumes, perfect Christmas, perfect perfect, perfect.... Usually that is how my blog looks, I don't really want to remember the poop all over my floor from a sick child, or the not so perfect report card, or that my child isn't the best at sharing. I could go on and on here... I like the rest of the blog-world sugar coat our lives. It could appear that our family runs very smooth, we do have a few deaths once in a while but other than that, we go from one party to the next sporting event all singing and laughing as we go. Ha! ;) Well I think it's time to get real, our lives are NOT like that, we have our struggles along with all the fun stuff. This day back in September was not our finest moment!
Preston will kill me if he knew I put this on here, so if by chance you see him, DO NOT bring this up! He feels super bad about the whole deal but for the sake of our family history it's gotta be here. So if you are reading this, I trust you not to tell him. :)
One morning in September while I was driving the boys to school Preston asked me "Mom what happens if you spray paint on a building?
I said "Well that is Graffiti and you could go to Juvenile Detention or Jail?"
He looks at me with big eyes and says "Really??"
I say "Yes, that is defacing someones property and it is a crime? Why are you asking me this?"
"Well... last night while I was at Landon's practice, I found a can of spray paint and put a little bit on the shed behind the Middle School?" He replies.
Thinking it was just a line or a dot or something, I said "Well you have to go to school right now, and I am sure it isn't a lot, we will have to go over after school and see it."
Preston got out of the car reluctantly and walked to class.
After school we drove down to the middle school. On the way Preston asked "Mom if I go to "Juvi" (he calls Juvenile Detention, "Juvi." His Grandma works at the court and he has picked up on few things! ;)) will you bail me out?"
I told him "In this family we will never bail you out of your problem, you have to pay the consequence to your action."
He looked at me and said with a quiver "Will you come visit me everyday??"
I was dying, he was really nervous, and I wasn't. I didn't think he would really draw all over a building with spray paint. I was expecting a little dot, or something we could scrub off rather quickly. When we pulled up this is what I saw....
I about lost it. This wasn't a little line or just a little bit of spray paint. This was a work of art!! An SC with the Warrior Head and then the word Warriors was started, but then I am sure he got distracted. We had to go into the school and let the Vice Principal know, this part was really hard. Preston was crying so hard, and because he was I started tearing up too. We talked to him for awhile, he let Preston know that the cops at the school had already seen it, and talked about it. He told him if he was older and knew what he was doing he could be in a lot of trouble. At this point Preston was sobbing. I felt so bad for him. We told the VP Preston would clean it up, but he said the custodian had a chemical that would take it off and not to worry. Preston left there feeling relieved, he thought a week of being grounded was a lot better than spending a few nights in Juvenile Detention. It turned out to be a good learning experience for all of us. He now knows if he finds spray paint, let me know and I'll get him some paper or something to paint on, he won't be using a building as his canvas anytime soon!
I'm not sure I read the fine print when I decided to become a Mother, I thought it was all about changing their clothes and going to the park. Being a parent is HARD, I learned that this day. I also learned that I can't bail my kids out of their problems, but I will be right by their side walking through the fire with them. I love my kids so much and hope I can teach them right from wrong even if that mean learning a few things the hard way.

First Day of School
{August 15, 2011}
Summer flew by this year, but the boys were excited to get back to school. I can't believe I have a 3rd and 2nd grader! They both love their teacher's and have adjusted to the new routine. 3rd Grade for Landon meant a lot more homework than he has been used to... I am glad he gets to make good study habits at such a young age. He will be thankful later, I know it! For Preston 2nd Grade so far has been great. I have been so concerned about him, but I think this is his year. I know he is going to make great strides in both reading and math.
Here is to another great school year!

Nature Camp
Preston and Zac went to Nature Camp the first week in June. He loved it! He is all about making things and learning about nature. Their team even won the challenge that took place all week. Way to go Preston!!

Field Day
Field Day is the boys favorite day of the school year. They love being outside, racing and having fun. They did great, both came home with lots of ribbons!

My Little Leaguer
My "Little Leaguer" Preston had a great season! He loved everything about baseball this year. He loved practicing, hitting, catching and just playing the game. I think he was excited it was finally his turn to play, instead of watching his older brother! He did awesome! He is counting down the days until fall, when he can start to play baseball year round. It's going to be fun.
Great Season Little Leaguer!!

Happy Birthday Preston!
Preston had a great birthday! It started with his choice of breakfast in bed, eggs and bacon (he could eat a whole lbs of it if I let him!) Then he opened his present, a DS just what he wanted! Since it was a Saturday, both boys had basketball games, so we headed to those, then came home and got ready for his party. This year we just had a family party so to spice it up we played a little limbo! It was fun!
Then it was finally time to blow out the candles. It is a running joke in our family with Preston and the candles... he always seems to be the one to blow everyone's candles out at their parties. So, it was finally time to blow his own out, and boy was he stoked!
It was a great day filled with 7 year old fun! Thanks to everyone who came to his party.
There were lots of favorites about Preston's birthday, mine was probably the flip book I made for him.
Landon's was probably the new DS that he will get to play.
Grandma Bowler's was probably this cute candy cake she made.
But, I am sure this would be Preston's favorite...
And that is why it isn't hard to love this boy so much!! Happy Birthday Preston! You make my life and all those around you so much brighter and better. Here is to another great year! Love you.

Wrestling
Roll him over... Lay him flat...
Pin his shoulders to the mat!!
Preston wrestled this fall and had a great time. He is a scrappy little guy and won a lot of matches and even pinned a few opponents. It was fun to watch! The first tournament of the season he won, so we let him pick what to eat for dinner. This motivated him to win for the rest of the season! I didn't know picking dinner was such a coveted job... in fact I dread picking what to eat! So, on the nights he won it was a win for me too! :)
Way to go Press, your a great little wrestler. Those 43 lbs must be solid steel! :)

Great Weekend
The Dixie Roundup was fun again this year. The Military Helicopter was probably everyone's favorite part of the show. It is always fun to see family and friends at the Rodeo!
Preston had the First Grade Rodeo at school and they asked us to help. Since Gavin had to be in Las Vegas, Dad got the job! We showed the kids how to rope the Dummy and then let them all try it themselves. It was funny to watch how difficult it is to swing a rope when you have never done it before! Thanks Dad for your help. You are the best!
On Friday night we skipped the Rodeo and went to the Warrior game instead. Addie was in the Cheer Clinic this year and was so excited to perform at half time. I made her some bows to wear, and before we even got in the game she had lost one.. I was sick. We looked and looked but couldn't find it. Oh well, she still looked cute! (Come to find out it was in the backseat of the car, bummer.) When we got down on the track she was so excited to find Sadie and be with all the other girls. She was totally in her element the whole time, she even did a little of the dance, a few counts late, but she did it! I love my little cheerleader!
We went over to the end of the rodeo to show my mom and dad her outfit, they were glad we came and the boys got to see their favorite part of the rodeo, the Bull Riding! I just can't miss that rodeo, even if I am two hours late!
Saturday Landon had a football game in Cedar, they lost by a touchdown. It was a good game and the boys played really hard, just came up short. I liked what Landon said in the car after the game. "If we see them in the playoffs, they are going DOWN!" Now that is the kind of attitude I like! How does that saying go? "Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back in the saddle!"
We made it home just in time for the last night of the Rodeo. It was a fun, crazy weekend, the kind I love. Good Times, Good Times!!

School Days
{August 11, 2010}
A new year is here! I love the fresh start and schedule. It seems all of us do a lot better with more on our agenda than cartoons and lunch! With both boys in school all day, Addie is having a hard time adjusting. The first day all she said was "Lets pick the boys up," or "Time to pick up the boys?" or "Pick up the boys." She loves her brothers so much.
{2nd Grade}
Landon was excited to start 2nd Grade. His teacher is Mrs. Thomas, she is new to the school, and seems super nice. When he got to class and saw his number was 9, it made his day. I think he is going to have a great year!

{1st Grade}
Preston was a little nervous to go to school all day. I have to admit I was a little nervous myself. Mrs. Woodbury is his teacher, I am so grateful she is with him, I know she will take good care of my little boy and he will learn a lot this year. I still had a hard time leaving him, and thought about him all day. When he jumped in the car after school and told me "It was the BEST day ever!" I knew he was going to have a super year. Yea!
Here is to a great year, with lots of learning and fun!

Two Fish
One Fish,
Two Fish!!
Red Fish,
Blue Fish.
Yea! I have Two Fish! Both boys took Swimming Lesson's at the first of the summer and are swimming awesome. I can't tell you how much relief I feel knowing Preston can swim on his own. It is definitely helping me to sleep better at night! :)

He did it!
He did it! Preston made it through Kindergarten! It wasn't easy, but he completed it. Reading, writing and concentrating are not his favorite things. He likes to write his numbers backwards and flip d's for b's, but on his end of the year test he wrote ALL his numbers correctly and read his book like a champ. It was a huge accomplishment. I was so proud of him. We both know that 1st Grade isn't going to be easy, but with a little extra effort he can do it!

Newest Player for the Sliderzz
A few weeks ago the Sliderzz played in the Super League. Right at the start of the second game Josh got beaned in the eye by a pitch. It created the biggest goose egg right over his left eye. Needless to say he was in no form to finish playing the rest of the game. They only had 9 players so if someone wasn't there to fill in quick they would have to take an automatic out, and there would be a hole in the outfield. So... guess who was called up from the sand box?! Preston! He wasn't to sure if he even wanted to play after looking at Josh's eye, but he ran like a champ to the outfield in his shorts and tennis shoes. He stayed into the game out there, to bad nothing was hit to him. He got up to hit twice and struck out both times, but I have to say he didn't seem intimidated. I think I would have been if I was him, the Sliderzz were playing 9 year olds and he is only 6 (and I might add not a real big 6 year old either! :)) The Sliderzz did lose the game, but Preston didn't care he was just excited to be apart of the team. Way to go Petey, you were awesome!

Little League
Preston's Coach Pitch/T-Ball Little League Season came to a close. Watching him play was pure joy! He loves to play especially when he hits Home Runs! He has a great swing and is really growing a passion for the game. It seems the last month whenever you see him around the house he has his mitt on with a tennis ball in it. When he asks his dad to play catch, I grin. It looks like we are going to have two baseball players in the Frei Family, and that couldn't make me happier.
A Warm Day!
We haven't had many warm days this Spring. It has been really weird weather. We have been waiting everyday since Easter to try on our new suits. Finally on the 4th of May it was warm enough to head to the water walk and Preston didn't have Kindergarten. It was a perfect afternoon. Thanks Bradi for calling! This was way better than doing the laundry.
Field Day
Field Day is always a school day we look forward to at our house. Both boys did great! I don't know where they got their hops from, but both won 1st place in the Broad Jump! Way to go boys.
