Warrior Football Tournament

Because our football team did so well during the regular season, the coaches decided to enter them into a football tournament in Mesquite. It was in November so I had brought blankets, coats, sweatshirts... to keep warm. Needless to say the weather was beautiful the first day I took my shoes off and had wished I had worn Capri's. The next morning our game was at 9:00 am thinking the weather would be about the same all I brought was a few sweatshirts for the morning chill. Boy was I wrong, the wind was blowing and it was freezing! Good thing we won, so sitting out in the cold was worth it! ;)

Check out that trophy! Who needs a Grandfather Clock in a home, when you have that?! Also, check out those Uni's they looked really sharp, and played really sharp too!

It was a fun weekend. It looks like I was having a good time, doesn't it? Who knows what we are laughing about. This is what I get for blogging about something that happened 3 months ago! I do remember the food at the Eureka Cafe was good. We went there both days after the games. Trust me to only remember the food, I am crazy like that. :)

Good Job WARRIORS!
Love those boys.

Football Champs!!

The last couple weeks of the football season were crazy. For starters Grandpa's Funeral was the first week of the playoff's, so I never really thought about football that week, Landon and Gavin made it to the practices on top of the viewing and funeral. When we got to the game, I was sitting in the stands and kind of panicked! I thought a my gosh... if we don't win, we're done. Luckily we won! It was a good day!

Then it was time to prepare for the Championship. That week the boys had dinner after practice every night! Fun! We had some unbelievable parents on the team, everyone supported the boys and participated throughout the whole year! Landon even got a sign in our yard that said "A Warrior Lives Here!" So cute! :)

The big day came, and we conquered! It was a great game, our boys seemed really nervous at first. Finally in the second half they came alive and played like we knew they could. We beat Dixie 25-12, winning the 3rd Grade Tackle Football Championship!

Then it was time to celebrate!!

Fun memories! Gavin was stoked to finally have that golden football! He put a lot of effort into the season and it was so fun to see him finally holding it.
Warrior Nation. So many great supporters.

Then the bus.... Oh how they loved the bus! "The Show Goes On" was thumping, and the boys were screaming! Good Times!! I Love Landon's #1 sign hanging out the window. These boys worked so hard, they deserved those trophies.

As I think back on the 2011 Football season, I think of hard work, discipline, respect, sweat, blood, and tears.  All was left on the football field and we came away victorious.

Now all we have are the memories, but they are very very sweet. It was a year we won't forget.

We are proud to be Warriors.

**Thank you Hayley Bradshaw for the good photos.** The not so good ones, are mine. ;)

Warrior Football

Football is here and in full swing. The Warrior's are playing like just that.... Warrior's! They have had an unbelievable season so far, I hope it continues this way all the way to the playoffs! I can't even explain how many hours a week Gavin along with all the other coaches put into this little team, but is sure has shown. They come to every game prepared and ready to play. Landon has played great! He loves to hit and has got plenty of "Mama" stickers to show for it! (Those are stickers for his helmet he receives if he has a hard hit in the game.)

Addie loves football too! I'm not sure if it is to watch her brother play, or to hang out with her friends... You know you have a good friend when they will share their pickle with you! :)

We have had lots of family support at the games. We took this picture of Great Grandpa Bowler with Landon. He hadn't been to a football game since probably the 60's! He liked it, and Landon was happy he was there!

Landon has made some lifelong friends on this Warrior team. Every Friday the team (meaning the boys)  plan "Warrior Fest." They basically ride their bikes from one house to the next, playing, eating and having a great time. It usually last until it's time to go to the Varsity Football Game and the party continues there! It will be a fun memory that I'm sure will last a lifetime.

Football is a sport that teaches a lot more than just hitting. It teaches to work as a team, trust your teammates, do your part and most of all discipline. I am so thankful Landon has had this opportunity. I know it is making him a better boy all around.

Good Luck Warriors!

Warrior Pride!

The Warrior Football Season has come to an end. They played stellar football all season long. It amazes me how much they learned in those few short months. These boys made it to the Championship Game held at Hansen Stadium. Although they came up just short of bringing home the trophy, I consider them all Champions. Good job on a great season boys!

Here are a few pictures taken along the way...

Warrior Fans

Landon is such a lucky boy. This was his cheering section at the football game. He had quite a crew there cheering him on! It is so nice to have a family that supports my kids in all they do.  Thanks everyone, it means a lot! We hope to see you all tomorrow at the big Playoff Game against Dixie! It should be a fun one! :)

Great Weekend

The Dixie Roundup was fun again this year. The Military Helicopter was probably everyone's favorite part of the show. It is always fun to see family and friends at the Rodeo!

Preston had the First Grade Rodeo at school and they asked us to help. Since Gavin had to be in Las Vegas, Dad got the job! We showed the kids how to rope the Dummy and then let them all try it themselves. It was funny to watch how difficult it is to swing a rope when you have never done it before! Thanks Dad for your help. You are the best!

On Friday night we skipped the Rodeo and went to the Warrior game instead. Addie was in the Cheer Clinic this year and was so excited to perform at half time. I made her some bows to wear, and before we even got in the game she had lost one.. I was sick. We looked and looked but couldn't find it. Oh well, she still looked cute! (Come to find out it was in the backseat of the car, bummer.) When we got down on the track she was so excited to find Sadie and be with all the other girls.  She was totally in her element the whole time, she even did a little of the dance, a few counts late, but she did it! I love my little cheerleader!

We went over to the end of the rodeo to show my mom and dad her outfit, they were glad we came and  the boys got to see their favorite part of the rodeo, the Bull Riding! I just can't miss that rodeo, even if I am two hours late!

Saturday Landon had a football game in Cedar, they lost by a touchdown. It was a good game and the boys played really hard, just came up short. I liked what Landon said in the car after the game. "If we see them in the playoffs, they are going DOWN!" Now that is the kind of attitude I like! How does that saying go? "Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get back in the saddle!"

We made it home just in time for the last night of the Rodeo.  It was a fun, crazy weekend, the kind I love. Good Times, Good Times!!

Boys of Fall

Doesn't this make you so excited for Fall?! These little Warriors are dang cute, in full pads. Landon is loving it.  Football means discipline and I am loving that! This was at a scrimmage in Mesquite a few weeks back. Their first "Official" game was this morning. They won! More pictures to come.

If you haven't seen this video, watch it. It gave me goose bumps, I loves those Boys of Fall.
