Happy 24th of July!

This last weekend was the Enterprise Rodeo. Landon and Preston were excited to go. They love the rodeos, not to watch the rodeo, but to play with their friends under the bleachers and in the dirt. This year they had a mechanical bull that the kids could ride for free. Landon was in heaven! He loves to watch bull riding, and has always wanted to ride one, so this was perfect. I don't think he watch much of the rodeo, and after the first night wouldn't even chase a chicken! All he did was ride the bull! Preston never did get on the bull, he just liked wanted to go to the concession stand and buy gum.  Here is a picture of Landon on the bull. He took it pretty serious as you can see from the photo!

Addie didn't like the rodeo as much as the boys. In fact, she cried a lot of the time :) She wasn't quite sure why we were hanging out in a dusty, noisy place until midnight (or later!) Here she is finally sound asleep.  On sunday morning after all the rodeo's she sleep in until about noon! She was a worn out little girl.

After the rodeo on Friday night we stayed in Enterprise. Gavin had to move a few cows at the Dutchman Ranch on Saturday morning so we stayed with him in the trailer. According to the boys camping in the horse trailer is as good as christmas morning! While Gavin was gone riding, we shot the BB gun, caught grasshoppers, and skipped rock across Enterprise Reservoir. At 12:30 I had packed a lunchable so I had the boys sit in the back of the truck to eat. Landon said to me "isn't this fun mom?!" Then Preston piped in "ya, this is the Best!" I then told them "This is way better than sitting home watching TV." and they both agreed. It was a good day to spend outdoors.
After Gavin got done riding, we took a nap in the trailer, went and ate dinner at Tuck's and then went to the rodeo.  It was a fun weekend, I am so glad we have the Enterprise rodeo as a tradition, even if it does last into the wee hours of the night!
