Zion's

On the Saturday morning of Memorial Day Weekend, I woke up and realized we had nothing on the schedule to do. That was amazing.. Gavin was out moving cattle with his dad, so we hadn't planned anything. I happened to call Katie (Gavin's mom) and she was headed to Zion's for the weekend with Bradi and her family. She invited us to come along for the day, so we loaded up and headed to Zion. It was a fun day all on the spur of the moment! We hike to the Lower Emerald Pool which turned out to be a puddle, so we kept going to the Middle Emerald Pool and that turned out to be water running over rocks. The kids got all wet which was fun until they slipped... then we hiked back. I had never taken my kids to Zion, and after being there for the day I know I need to take them back. It was a great day filled with the beauty of the earth, exercise, not to much fighting or crying, and lots of smiles.

It was a lot of fun! I'm so glad you guys came! :) We do need to go back and hike the Emerald Pools again and go all the way to the upper pool. :)

Looks like you had a great time!
We spend a LOT of time there during the summer (sometimes once a week) You will have to take your kids-your boys especially-to play in the river. There is a perfect spot behind the little deli/market that is next to the theater, that has shallow slow moving water. So the kids can play all day-with tons of shade trees for you to sit and relax with your toes in the water! And don't forget to visit Pizza Noodle & Oscar's while you are there-YUM!

What a good looking bunch of kids! I remember Easter at Zion's every year with Grandma Lila. Maybe you take after her.
