The Joys of Pet Day!

Last Thursday was an eventful day... it was Bring Your Pet to School Day! Oh the Fun! ;o)

In the morning we give Nick a bath in the hose outside, well you know we have no lawn so the minute I got him wet he ran and rolled in the dirt, this was the beginning of a long day! We did get him bathed and brushed and ready for school. So, off to school we go with Nick in the back of the Yukon. We arrive at school, I unload 3 kids, 1 stroller and 1 dog! As we are walking up to the school, Nick is peeing on every pole they have.. gross! Then all the kindergartners go and sit down by the playground, all the animals wait outside the fence for their turn. As we are waiting for our turn, some of the animals were kind of nervous sniffing and barking at each other. One dog got loose and ran all over the place! There was a puppy and he was sniffing Nick, I could tell Nick was getting a little nervous, but I didn't think much of it. Next thing you know... he PEE'S all over my foot!!!!! YUCK! I was dying, and I couldn't do anything about the URINE all over my foot and sandal, because I had a baby in a stroller, a preschooler playing on the playground, a Kindergartner waiting for his turn to show off his pet and a dog on a leash!  Needless to say it was dry by the time I had got home to changed my pants, and wash my foot!

I don't know what to do with the sandals, I don't think they can get wet, I think they might be going in the trash! Oh the JOYS of Pet Day! I think if Preston has to do this next year, I will go buy a Goldfish, put it in a baggie and have that be his pet for Pet Day, then I'll take it to the farm and let it live in the cows troth! Think that plan will work!?

You are freakin' hillarious. You have the best stories! Thanks for sharing with all of us!!! P.S. Nick has it down now, he can do it again next year with no problem!! :)

I'm all for the goldfish idea - lower maintenance the better. And if you haven't thrown your sandle away you know you'll always remember your little episode every time you slip it on your foot - so, happy shoe shopping!

That is funny, I hope Tavie's class doesn't have pet day. but if she does I am taking the fish, for sure after the pee on the foot. Kinda reminds me when Steph got poop on hers. LOL:)

That is too funny! :) I think the goldfish idea would work! I know my kids would love to have one even for a day! :)

Love this story. I needed a good laugh for today. Thanks Lainee. Just think of how proud Landon was to show off his pet though. :)

I am impressed! I gave up being a good mom a looonng time ago. I do everything I can to get out of "pet day!" MOstly because mine are too naughty. Dogs that is....well, sometimes kids, too. This is just the start of the fun! I can laugh because I have been through it. Yesterday Sue was telling me about her boys dumping the laundry soap AND the fabric softener all over. I told her she better just start taking pictures and laughing or else she will self destruct! That's why I have pictures of flour covered children, sugar covered children, mud covered children, and my personal favorite-- a gallon of syrup with a baby in footie pajamas sitting in the middle. The joy! The joy!
